Why Did Fayose Meet the Olubadan Behind Closed Doors?

Something is quietly unfolding in Oyo State and this latest move is raising more questions than answers.

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, held a closed-door meeting with the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, on Tuesday. The meeting lasted about 30 minutes, but what’s more important is why it happened now.

This comes at a time when political tension in the state is already building.

Fayose had earlier alleged that the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, was planning to dethrone the monarch. There have also been talks around a possible impeachment move against the governor, with claims that the traditional institution could be dragged into the situation.

So this meeting is not just a casual visit.

Before going in, Fayose gave a short but loaded statement. He said he was in Ibadan to show support for the traditional institution and added that the truth behind the entire situation would soon come out.

That line alone suggests there may be more happening behind the scenes than what is publicly known.

Right now, nothing has been officially confirmed beyond the meeting itself, but the timing and the players involved point to deeper political movements within the state.

In the corridors of power, meetings like this rarely happen without a reason. The bigger picture is still unfolding.
