If you’re building something that is creating real impact, not just ideas, this is an opportunity you should seriously consider.
The UN SDG Action Campaign has opened applications for the 2026 Heroes of Tomorrow: UN SDG Action Awards, a global program designed to spotlight young people driving real change across the world.
What This Is About
This is not for people still planning ideas.
This is for those already doing the work, people solving real problems, creating impact, and pushing change in their communities.
The program will select nine finalists globally and take them through coaching and capacity building before the final awards ceremony.
Why This Matters
Beyond recognition, this is about visibility and scale.
If selected, your work gets pushed to a global audience through UN platforms and major media, including Italy’s national broadcaster.
This kind of exposure can open doors to partnerships, funding, and international opportunities.
What You Get
One representative from each selected initiative will be flown to Rome, Italy, fully funded by the program.
You will attend a special finalist program and the main awards ceremony scheduled for October 29, 2026.
Finalists and winners also receive global recognition and a customized award for their work.
Who Can Apply
This is for individuals or teams who have delivered real, measurable impact within the last three years.
Your work must align with global development goals such as sustainability, social impact, or community development.
If your project is still at idea stage, this is not for you.
Also, previous finalists or winners are not eligible to apply again.
Timeline
Applications are currently open and will close on May 17, 2026.
Finalists will be announced in September, followed by the main program and award ceremony in October in Rome.
